Trail “Wonders of Soroa”
Soroa, also known as the Rainbow of Cuba, is a privileged place for the conservation of the richness, variety and excellence of its flora and fauna. Among its main attractions are the largest orchid garden in the country, as well as a spectacular 22-meter high waterfall that invites you to take a refreshing bath at any time of the year.
Trails are essential options for nature lovers. Travelling through forests with exuberant vegetation and fauna, listening to the singing of birds in their natural environment and bordering rivers make these tours a unique experience that allows you to be in direct contact with nature.
Trail Wonders of Soroa, tour designed to interact with nature and learn about the vegetation, geological features of the area, as well as the diversity of fauna that inhabits this region. You will enjoy a bath in the sulphur spring and will be able to appreciate the historical and social-cultural values of the area.
Itinerary
- Welcome cocktail reception and entertainment by a music group in the Pool Bar of the facility. Brief explanation of the tour.
- 1st Stop: Studio-Workshop "La Ermita", by the painter Gastell. Our Host is associated with the Cultural Heritage Fund of our Provincial and the UNEAC. In this studio-workshop you will be able to appreciate paintings, photographs, ceramic pieces, etc. made by the artist or other artists who are members of the project, free time to visit the workshop, as well as to buy some pieces if you are interested.
- 2nd Stop: Ceiba Ritual. The ceiba is one of the oldest trees in the area, with more than 650 years, venerated and sacred to the Afro-Cuban religion.
- 3rd Stop: Mineral and medicinal baths, you will be able to observe the hotel's sulphurous water pool and receive a brief explanation of the physiotherapeutic services offered in the facility.
- 4th Stop: Visit to Agapito's house. It has one of the most complete collections of orchids in the area, as well as a large number of ornamental plants and flowers set in two Umbrellas, a Natural Niche and other Gardens. You will be received by the hostess of the place who will give you a tour of the beautiful gardens, when you wish you can enjoy a delicious Café Criollo. If you wish you can purchase Ornamental Plants and Exotic Orchids.
