Spring of life Trail tour, Soroa
Soroa, also known as the Rainbow of Cuba, is a privileged place for the conservation of the richness, variety and excellence of its flora and fauna. Among its main attractions are the largest orchid garden in the country, as well as a spectacular 22-meter high waterfall that invites you to take a refreshing bath at any time of the year.
Trails are essential options for nature lovers. Travelling through forests with exuberant vegetation and fauna, listening to the singing of birds in their natural environment and bordering rivers make these tours a unique experience that allows you to be in direct contact with nature.
Sendero Soroa: Source of life, a tour designed for you to interact with nature and learn about the vegetation, geological characteristics of the area, as well as the diversity of the fauna that lives in this region. You will enjoy a bath in the sulphur spring and will be able to appreciate the historical and social-cultural values of the area.
Itinerary
- Welcome cocktail reception and entertainment by a music group in the Pool Bar of the facility. Brief explanation of the tour.
- 1st Visit: Birth of the sulphur spring: A brief explanation will be given about the properties of sulphur and mineral-medicinal waters.
- 2nd Visit: The Yagruma. Place where the client will receive an explanation of the most representative species of the flora and fauna of the region, as well as different historical and social elements.
- 3rd Visit: La Ceiba: one of the oldest trees in the area, where the visitor will be part of the ceiba ritual, which consists of going around the ceiba tree 12 times and at the end, making a wish.
- 4th Visit: Massage room (mineral-medicinal baths), you will be able to observe the hotel's sulphurous water pool and receive a brief explanation of the physiotherapeutic services offered in the facility.
- 5th Visit: Viewpoint of the waterfall. Explanation of the formation of the waterfall from the displacement of the tectonic plates and the geological characteristics of the area. Continuation of the tour arriving at the Soroa Waterfall. Time for swimming in the waterfall.
