"Nature and History" Soroa Trail

Soroa, also known as the Rainbow of Cuba, is a privileged place for the conservation of the richness, variety and excellence of its flora and fauna. Among its main attractions are the largest orchid garden in the country, as well as a spectacular 22-meter high waterfall that invites you to take a refreshing bath at any time of the year. Trails are essential options for nature lovers. Travelling through forests with exuberant vegetation and fauna, listening to the singing of birds in their natural environment and bordering rivers make these tours a unique experience that allows you to be in direct contact with nature.

Sendero Soroa: Nature and History, a tour designed for you to discover the natural, social and historical-cultural values of the area, the life of the Cuban peasantry, as well as the diversity of the flora and fauna that live in this region.

Itinerary

  • Welcome cocktail reception and entertainment by a musical group at the Pool Bar of the facility. Brief explanation of the tour.
  • 1st Stop: "El Vivero" Community. In this place you will be given a brief explanation about the local development in the area, and the works for the preservation of the environment.
  • 2nd Stop: Coffee plantation ruins. You will learn about the old coffee farms in the area and about the emergence and expansion of coffee cultivation in Cuba.
  • 3rd Stop: House of a local farmer (Vidal). You will be able to observe the different crops of the farmers, the constructions, their way of life, etc. Besides tasting a typical Cuban coffee and exquisite tropical fruits of the season.
  • 4th Stop: Majaguas Forest. You will receive a brief explanation about the biodiversity of the region, learn about different sustainable development projects linked to health and nature preservation.
  • 5th Stop: View of the Eagle. Panoramic view of the southern plain of the province of Artemisa, its main industries and projects in development, as well as the Castle of the Clouds and the house "Vista Hermosa".
  • 6th Stop: Castillo de las Nubes.
  • Return to the hotel.

Clients who select the option with Picnic at the end of the tour can attend a pool party at Casa 8 Vista Mirador del Sur. Maximum for 20 pax.
