“To Topes de Collantes and Cascada el Caburni” Tour
The Natural Park of Topes de Collantes is located in the Escambray Mountain Range at 800 meters above sea level. It is formed by rivers, valleys, mountains and caves in their natural state being a unique paradise for lovers of direct contact with nature, you can breathe a healthy environment and purified from the levels of pollution of modern life, stress and anxiety. Enjoy green forests, and numerous species of Cuban flora and fauna.
The excursion begins with an explanation from the guide about the itinerary to follow.
Hand in hand with our specialized guide we will walk to the Caburní waterfall. You will be able to observe a great variety of the flora and fauna of the place among them: ferns, medicinal plants, wild orchids and butterflies complement the beautiful environment. Carob, cedar, mahogany, magnolia and teak trees, among others, during the journey we will see birds such as the parrot, the tocororo (Cuba's national bird), the negrito, the sparrowhawk, the woodpecker, as well as the white-tailed deer, the jibaro pig and the quail, hutias, mollusks, etc.
The mountain climate benefits the production of coffee, whose plantations can be seen while hiking. Coffee lovers will be delighted by the Casa del Café.
The Caburní waterfall is a spectacle for the eyes of the visitor and invites you to enter its crystalline spring waters. The waterfall is 62 feet high and splashes the natural pools, where you can swim and refresh yourself.
Customer pick-up point: At the address of the hostel where you are staying or at the reference point (municipal library, located on Martí Street, in front of the bank and a very popular ATM cash withdrawal point). Departure by taxi 8: 45 AM to Topes de Collantes which has an ecological beauty unique in Cuba. Visit the viewpoint of the Caribbean from where you can see the whole south coast of the city of Trinidad from a great height. Continue to El Caburní waterfall to enjoy its fresh spring water. Return to the city of Trinidad.
TIPS: • Light clothing, sunglasses, swimwear, water and light meals with sweet and protein, hats or caps, hard tennis or hiking boots and sandals, other protective for seasons rain, solar protection and photographic camera.
• The collected may be delayed up to 15 minutes depending on the number of hotels and punctuality of customers. Customer should be informed on sales desk to avoid disagreements.

Cancellation Policy • In case of cancellation up to 72 hours before the departure time of the excursion, a penalty of 10% of the excursion fare will be charged. • Regarding cancellations made between 72 and 24 hours before the departure time of the excursion, a penalty of 50% of the excursion fare will be applied. • Cancellations reported within 24 hours before the departure time and No-Show (no presentation at departure time), a penalty of 100% of the excursion fare will be applied. • Booking fees and credit card surcharges cannot be refunded in case of cancellation.
