"One Day in Havana" Bike Tour

Havana emerged as the product and witness of a tumultuous and epic history, due to its position as the gateway to the New World, at the intersection of the great powers that have fought to control it. Its monuments, architecture, landscapes and atmosphere are a direct illustration of the greatness that makes Havana exceptional since its founding.

This route will flood us with impressions of authentic Cuban daily life. Included are views of various highlights of the Cuban capital and others that are less popular. We will get to know some of the capital's fifteen neighborhoods, such as Old Havana, Centro Habana, Vedado, Playa, Marianao and, depending on how fast we travel, others.

• Departure from our meeting point towards Old Havana.
• We will pass through the Callejón de Hamel.
• We will make a stop at the La Guarida restaurant, a place that gained its fame as one of the main locations of the Cuban film nominated for an Oscar, "Strawberry and Chocolate".
• We will make interesting stops at the Capitol, the Gran Teatro de La Habana, the Central Park, the Casa del Perfume and the Castillo de la Real Fuerza.
• On the way, along with our e-bikes we will pass by some historical places in old Havana of special relevance that cannot be passed by our e-bikes because they are generally very crowded.
• We will go through the four main squares, the Plaza Vieja, the Plaza de San Francisco de Asís, the Plaza de la Catedral and the Plaza de Armas, we will go towards the Paseo del Prado, now we will drive our e-bikes.
• Time for lunch, the specific place where we will eat, will always depend on our speed of travel, the size of the group and the practical conditions of the streets.
• We follow the route along the Malecón, Cuba's National Hotel, 23rd Street, Paseo Avenue until we reach the Plaza of the Historic Plaza of the Revolution, the place where leader Fidel, before more than a million Cubans, delivered his eloquent speeches.
• On our way back to the meeting point of the trip, we will stop for the last time to drink something, perhaps a cocktail, a beer or a water, while we exchange about the impressions obtained during this day.

• Technical assistance: The circuit will have technical assistance throughout the tour as well as trained personnel to attend to any eventuality that occurs during the course.

Sites of Interest: La Rampa, Nuestra Señora de Regla Church, El Cristo, Che's Commandery, San Carlos de la Cabaña Fortress, Tres Reyes del Morro Castle, El Malecón in Havana.

Size of the group: from 1 to 15 pax.

Planned meeting point: Mariana Grajales Park (23rd street, between C and D, Vedado) (Another meeting point can be organized for private groups).

Important

• You must report to the meeting point 15 minutes before the tour starts.
• All participants must travel with their own personal insurance.
• At the meeting point, we will give a brief introduction to the electric bicycles, the settings of the clients' bicycles at each individual height and some general information about the roads and traffic regulations in Cuba.
• The guest should have a good experience in urban cycling. There are no bicycle lanes in Cuba.
• Guests should be able to ride a bicycle comfortably up to 20 kilometers.
• The program is subject to change. Visits to museums depend on opening hours. Modifications/changes possible, depending on the opening hours of the museums.
• Gender of the person: female / male (including information, if any, about any special characteristics regarding the person's height, weight or any disabilities).
• For children there is no minimum age, only a minimum height of 1.40 m
• We have trailer seats/trolleys. Maximum weight: 25 kg. The number of seats/trolleys is limited and will always be "on request".

TIPS: - Light clothing and comfortable shoes suitable for walking outdoors. Sunglasses and sunscreen. Rain can be expected at any time.
