Program Details

"Havana Campo - The unknown West" Bike Tour

Havana emerged as the product and witness of a tumultuous and epic history, due to its position as the gateway to the New World, at the intersection of the great powers that have fought to control it. Its monuments, architecture, landscapes and atmosphere are a direct illustration of the greatness that makes Havana exceptional since its founding.

The route puts us in direct contact with the everyday Cuban culture as it is lived in the interior of the city. On our way to the fishing villages that make up the west, we will make some stops to see some of the work of some of Cuba's best known artists, this will show us great contrasts within this tour.

  • Departure from our meeting point towards the west route of the city.
  • We will visit the KCHO Museum, a social project sponsored by Google.
  • Trip through the distribution of the embassies and arrival in Jaimanitas.
  • In this place we will visit Fusterlandia, installation created by Fuster, a relevant artist of the plastic art in Cuba that is inspired by the Afro-Cuban religion and takes as reference Gaudí for the creation of his works.
  • We continue the tour this time passing by the Marina Hemingway, the largest yacht installation in Cuba, which is named after the American writer Ernest Hemingway.
  • We will walk along small beaches located on the coast and see the Latin American School of Medicine, where foreign students, mostly from Africa and Latin America, study.
  • We arrive in Baracoa, a fishing village with incredible charm.
  • From Thursday to Sunday we will have lunch at one of our favorite restaurants, which is hard to beat, both for its location and its spectacular food. Here you can also enjoy the sea: snorkeling in crystalline waters and swimming with multicolored fish.
  • From Monday to Wednesday lunch will be in the middle of nature and 100% ecological.
  • At the end of the tour we will return, making a stop at the Hemingway Bar, located in the Marina.
  • Return to the meeting point.
