"Cuban Revolution" Bike Tour

The year 1959 marked the triumph of the Cuban people, after many centuries of struggle Cuba was a truly free country, our proposal is to visit places that tell a part of Cuban history, based on fascinating and exciting anecdotes, we will embark on a journey through time.

  • Departure from the meeting point.
  • Tour through the Vedado, until we reach the Museum of the Revolution, the former Presidential Palace of the Republic of Cuba. It is considered one of the most important Cuban museums, due to the amount and value of its heritage, the scope of its exhibition and its cultural, historical and political work.
  • As part of this museum we find the "Granma", a boat acquired by the Centennial Generation who had Fidel Castro as a representative figure and who would become the 26th of July Movement, this was used for the transfer of 82 expeditionaries to reach the country and start the revolutionary struggle against Fulgencio Batista's dictatorship.
  • We continued to the slowly wooded central park, conceived as a public square, a place of recreation and leisure. In its center is the first statue of José Martí that was erected in Cuba. Some of the most significant buildings in Havana surround it, the most unique of which is on the Prado side: the Gran Teatro de La Habana and the Hotel Inglaterra, in whose café prominent figures of the Cuban intelligentsia have gathered over the course of more than a century.
  • We will visit José Martí's Birthplace, a museum that treasures part of the Cuban National Hero's belongings.
  • We will pedal through the Prado, the most beautiful promenade in Havana, built in 1772, it is more than 2 km from the Parque de la Fraternidad to the Malecón.
  • Then we will continue to the Anti-Imperialist Tribune, right in front of the US Embassy where you will learn about the special relationship between Cuba and the United States.
  • We will continue along the Avenida de los Presidentes, passing by numerous monuments erected in honor of Presidents and freedom fighters, such as Salvador Allende, former president of Chile, Simón Bolívar, freedom fighter of Venezuela among others.
