The levels of biodiversity and endemism in the Alejandro de Humboldt National Park are the highest in the Antilles and are among the highest in the world, earning it its World Heritage title. The territory has exceptional examples of the development of karst forms and systems on non-carbonate lithologies; one of the best and most complete examples of the insular tropical rainforests of the Neotropics is evident. The Park concentrates 2% of the species of flora on earth. It has a flora of 905 endemics, almost 30% of those reported for Cuba. Of that total, 343 are unique to the region.
Itinerary:
- Hotel pick-up by Jeep.
- Guide service.
- Transfer to Taco Bay in Alejandro de Humboldt National Park.
- Rowing boat ride, one of the most beautiful bays in the region.
- Return to the hotels in the afternoon.
