WHAT WILL WE DO?
We’ll begin our day at the Centro de las Raíces, Cuba’s first cultural center dedicated to Afro aesthetics and identity, where Beyond Roots has its headquarters. Over a warm cup of coffee, you’ll connect with your fellow travelers and prepare to dive deep into the heart of Afro-Cuban spirituality.
The journey starts with a performance honoring the Orishas, the revered deities of the Yoruba pantheon. Through sacred dances and rhythms, you’ll learn how each Orisha is connected to specific movements, representing powerful spiritual and cultural meanings. These dances are much more than just art—they are a way of life, a celebration of identity, and a sacred connection to our ancestors.
Next, we’ll explore other Afro-Cuban rhythms such as conga and rumba, delving into their histories and how they have shaped Cuban culture over generations. You’ll have the chance to experience these beats firsthand, feeling the energy that pulses through every movement.
After the performance, you’ll enjoy a delicious traditional Afro-Cuban meal, savoring the flavors that are deeply connected to the island’s cultural heritage. Alongside your meal, sip on a traditional Cuban cocktail, adding to your full cultural immersion.

MINIMUM GROUP SIZE: 4 persons
TIPS: - Recommended: light clothing, sunglasses, hats or caps, tennis, sandals or comfortable shoes, sunscreen, camera and water bottle.
- This tour operates with a minimum of 4 passengers. Holiplus will reconfirm 48 hours before the departure of your tour. If the provider decides to cancel, for reasons of force majeure or adverse weather conditions, Holiplus will offer an alternative tour or fully refund cost of your trip.
- The pick-ups can have a delay of up to 15 minutes, depending on the number of hotels and the punctuality of the customers.
Cancellation Policy
- In case of cancellation up to 72 hours before the departure time of the excursion, a penalty of 10% of the excursion fare will be charged.
- Regarding cancellations made between 72 and 24 hours before the departure time of the excursion, a penalty of 50% of the excursion fare will be applied.
- Cancellations reported within 24 hours before the departure time and No-Show (no presentation at departure time), a penalty of 100% of the excursion fare will be applied.
- Booking fees and credit card surcharges cannot be refunded in case of cancellation.
