Tour "The art of the contemporary"
Cuban plastic arts are the expression of imagery, painting, sculpture, ceramics, engraving, photography, architecture and graphic design created in Cuba. During the last years of the 70's, a movement called New Cuban Art emerged in Cuba, characterized by the break with the plastic tradition, the search of the experimental artistic creation, the questioning and the social criticism.
For this reason, we propose a tour of the National Museum of Fine Arts of Cuba, which is in charge of treasuring, restoring, preserving, promoting and investigating the works of the Cuban plastic heritage. As well as visits to galleries, studios, workshops and neighborhood projects of the main exponents of Cuban contemporary art.
