We are Beyond Roots, a group of friends that have joined efforts in order to provide an Immersion in Afro Cuban Culture. Growing up in Guanabacoa, one of the strongest exponents of this culture, we were raised under the living legacy of our African ancestors. Now we have an authentic passion for educating people about this misunderstood topic. We want to share with you the feeling of our community, transmit you a knowledge that has been passed from generations and show you its influence in the daily life of the Cubans from different perspectives. - We begin our journey at the Beyond Roots store in Old Havana, where we’ll share a welcoming coffee. From there, we will travel together to Guanabacoa, the cradle of Afro- Cuban culture.
- At the house of a babalawo, the highest priest of Santería, you’ll receive an introduction to Afro- Cuban religions. The babalawo will use the IFA divination method to perform a reading, revealing insights about your past, present, and future. He will offer advice to improve your current situation and avoid future obstacles. This spiritual consultation provides guidance to help you make the best decisions in your life, connecting you with your ancestry and prompting reflection on your actions and choices.
- During the consultation, you will have the opportunity to ask all the questions you desire, receiving tailored guidance from the babalawo.

TIPS: - Recommended: light clothing, sunglasses, hats or caps, tennis, sandals or comfortable shoes, sunscreen, camera and water bottle.
• This tour operates without a minimum of passengers. Holiplus will reconfirm 48 hours before the departure of your tour. If the provider decides to cancel, for reasons of force majeure or adverse weather conditions, Holiplus will offer an alternative tour or fully refund cost of your trip.
• The pick-ups can have a delay of up to 15 minutes, depending on the number of hotels and the punctuality of the customers.
Cancellation Policy
• In case of cancellation up to 72 hours before the departure time of the excursion, a penalty of 10% of the excursion fare will be charged. • Regarding cancellations made between 72 and 24 hours before the departure time of the excursion, a penalty of 50% of the excursion fare will be applied. • Cancellations reported within 24 hours before the departure time and No-Show (no presentation at departure time), a penalty of 100% of the excursion fare will be applied. • Booking fees and credit card surcharges cannot be refunded in case of cancellation.
