Jeep Safari "Sugar Tour"
The Valle de los Ingenios was named a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1998 because of its links to the slave trade that was generated by the sugar plantations in the area during that period. This place is a living museum of the old sugar trade of the 18th and 19th centuries.
Details of your trip:
- Pick up by jeep from hotels in Ancon Peninsula or Trinidad.
- Guide service.
- Stop at the Mirador del Valle de los Ingenios with welcome cocktail and specialized explanation of the sugar industry in Cuba. (Canopy session optional)
- Visit to the San Isidro de los Destiladeros hacienda, an archaeological site of great interest.
- Visit to the Manaca - Iznaga hacienda that belonged to one of the richest families of the Trinitarian village in colonial times.
- Enjoy a Creole lunch (optional).
- Visit the Casa del Alfarero where you can learn and participate in the art of pottery.
