The Guanaroca Lagoon is the most important protected area in the province of Cienfuegos. It is one of the most unique ecosystems in our country, constituting an essential link in the support of marine life in the Cienfuegos Bay. In its waters, a great quantity of aquatic birds find refuge. The Botanical Garden of Cienfuegos, a site of more than one kilometer of extension where one of the biggest collections of palms of Latin America and more than 2000 species of plants are found.
