"One Day in Cienfuegos" Bike Tour

Cienfuegos is a city in the bay of Cienfuegos, on the southern coast of Cuba. It is known by his buildings of the colonial epoch. In the central square José Martí Park, you can find the Tomás Terry Theater, with gold leaf mosaics and frescoes in its sky. The Provincial Museum explores the city's colonial history. The Arc de Triomphe commemorates Cuban independence. Ferries cross the bay to Jagua Castle, an 18th century fortress.

We will explore with our electric bikes, without traffic, the beautiful City of Cienfuegos and immerse yourself in its charms.

• We start our tour along the bay of Cienfuegos, where Columbus first landed in 1494.
• We pass by the modern marina, where you can find several catamaran rental agencies and different tours to various places on the island.
• We continue to La Punta where we will have a complete view of the bay and have our first drink.
• On the way along the Malecón we pass through the alleys on the outskirts of Cienfuegos, until we reach a rather impressive cemetery, the "Cementerio La Reina", which we will visit.
• We continue in the direction of the old parade ground. Here we find the only triumphal arch built in Cuba, built in 1902 by the Spanish in honor of the independence.
• Around Marti Park there are several impressive buildings that reflect the ancient times of a very rich metropolis.
• Time for lunch.
• We will visit the National Naval History Museum, where Cuba's maritime history awaits us, as well as the Locomotive Park, where you can admire the steel steeds from a sugar cane boom era.
• We take the road back to our starting point and will have time for a beer, a cocktail or a soft drink.

Important

• You must report to the meeting point 15 minutes before the tour starts.
• All participants must travel with their own personal insurance.
• At the meeting point, we will give a brief introduction to the electric bicycles, the settings of the clients' bicycles at each individual height and some general information about the roads and traffic regulations in Cuba.
• The guest should have a good experience in urban cycling. There are no bicycle lanes in Cuba.
• Guests should be able to ride a bicycle comfortably up to 20 kilometers.
• The program is subject to change. Visits to museums depend on opening hours. Modifications/changes possible, depending on the opening hours of the museums.
• Gender of the person: female / male (including information, if any, about any special characteristics regarding the person's height, weight or any disabilities).
• For children there is no minimum age, only a minimum height of 1.40 m
• We have trailer seats/trolleys. Maximum weight: 25 kg. The number of seats/trolleys is limited and will always be "on request".

TIPS: - Lightweight clothing and comfortable shoes suitable for walking outdoors, sunglasses and sunscreen, insect repellent. Rain can be expected at any time.
