“Juncal – Rencontra” Trekking Tour
The Juncal-Rencontra Trail is located 20 kilometers from the city of Baracoa, Guantanamo and allows visitors to enjoy the scenery provided by the mountain system and the Duaba River.
The tour begins in the city of Baracoa until you reach the town of El Juncal, during the journey along the banks of the River Toa can observe the natural beauty of the place and local farmers using the traditional cayuca or rafts made using bamboo.
The trail starts in the town of El Juncal, with an approximate length of 12 km, through a road of easy access surrounded by a great variety of timber trees, fruit trees and coconut, cocoa and coffee plantations; through this trail we arrive at the community Rencontra territory located on the banks of the Duaba River.
We will make a stop at a typical country house where you will be able to taste a tasty local coffee; we continue with the tour where you will be able to appreciate the beauty of the landscapes, the vegetation and the charm of the place, which are unique, making this trail unforgettable.

TIPS: • Light clothing, swimwear, sunglasses, water, hats or caps, hard tennis or hiking boots and sandals to cross the river, other protective layers for seasons rain, solar protection and photographic camera.

• This tour operates without a minimum number of passengers. Holiadventure will reconfirm 48 hours before the departure of your tour. If the supplier decides to cancel, Holiadventure will offer you an alternative tour or fully refund the cost of your tour.

Cancellation Policy • In case of cancellation up to 72 hours before the departure time of the excursion, a penalty of 10% of the excursion fare will be charged. • Regarding cancellations made between 72 and 24 hours before the departure time of the excursion, a penalty of 50% of the excursion fare will be applied. • Cancellations reported within 24 hours before the departure time and No-Show (no presentation at departure time), a penalty of 100% of the excursion fare will be applied. • Booking fees and credit card surcharges cannot be refunded in case of cancellation.
