“TOCONAO VILLAGE & THE ATACAMA SALT FLAT” TOUR
The Salar de Atacama is part of the Los Flamencos natural reserve, it is the largest salt deposit in Chile, it is divided into two sectors called Soncor and Quelana, formed by some of the salt lakes. In Soncor we find the Puilar, Chaxas and Barros Negros lagoons; and in Quelana, the Burros Muertos lagoon. This site boasts large numbers of Flamingos, as well as other birds -such as guavas, rheas and ducks.
The town of Toconao is located at 2,475 meters above sea level, where you can find the Church of San Lucas with its small bell tower.

- Departure from San Pedro de Atacama, towards the town of Toconao with a tour of the town and a visit to the workshop and artisan fair of the area.
- Departure to the Salar de Atacama where you can admire the beauty of the landscape of this place.
- We arrive at Chaxa lagoon, which is part of this salt flat, to be able to appreciate the different species of flamingos in the area.
- Enjoy the amazing sunset that marks the end of our excursion.
