Viñales Valley. It is located in the province of Pinar del Río, the westernmost area of Cuba, in the Sierra de los Órganos, exactly in the mountainous group of the Guaniguanico Mountain Range. This valley and a large part of the surrounding mountain range was approved in 1999 as a National Park and, in December of the same year, it was declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO, in the category of Cultural Landscape.

It takes about 2:30 hours to drive from Havana to enjoy one of the most beautiful landscapes in Cuba. With your guide, you will visit the private home of a veguero and enjoy a demonstration of cigar rolling. You will also visit the Mural of Prehistory and take a pleasant boat ride in the subway waters of the Cueva del Indio. Enjoy a typical Cuban meal.

Details of your trip

• Pick up at the hotel and departure to Pinar del Río.

• Short stop at Las Barrigonas ranchón, surrounded by typical peasant houses and tobacco plantations.

• Walk through the Viñales Valley, declared Cultural Landscape Protected by UNESCO and National Natural Monument.

• Visit the Casa del Veguero, where you can enjoy a welcome cocktail and also appreciate the tobacco plantations that are there they find cultivated (if it is growing season);

• Visit to the Mirador de Los Jazmines, a place that offers a beautiful overview of the Viñales Valley;

• Visit to the Cueva del Indio with boat ride on the river that runs inside;

• Lunch at a local restaurant;

• Visit to the Mural of Prehistory that shows the process of evolution of life in the Sierra de los Órganos, from the mollusk to the first indigenous inhabitants of the place;

• Back to the hotel.
