“The Secretes of the Tobacco” Tour
Discover the secrets of traditional Cuban tobacco, its cultivation and the making of cigars that make our tobacco the best in the world.
Description:
We will visit all the stages and processes that are possible to see (seedling, planting, harvesting, drying), in addition to visits to the despalillo and the manufacture.
Places to visit:
- A tobacco factory, place where the elaboration of the cigars is carried out.
- Visit to a despalillo, a stage between the producer and the factory where the tobacco leaves to be used are selected.
- Visit to the region of Vueltabajo, considered the best region in the world for the cultivation of tobacco leaves, especially covered tobacco used for the wrappers of Cuban cigars.
- Visit to the farm of Héctor Luis Prieto, the youngest Habano man in the world, and his farm producing leaves of exquisite quality that provide Cuba Habanos SA with one of the most exceptional tobacco blends, grown exclusively for the premium cigar brands of the country Cohiba, Montecristo and Romeo- Julieta.
Approximate duration of the tour: 5-6 hours.
Price includes: Specialized guide and entrance to all the places to visit. Tasting and tobacco.
Option: At the end of the tour, lunch will be served in an agro-ecological farm, a unique place for its beauty and quality of food, where all the fruits, tubers and vegetables are grown naturally. Price of lunch: 10 CUC per person.
Very important note: The excursion without transportation included, the customer must pay an extra local transportation supplement to move within Viñales and access the sites to visit, distant from each other. 1 to 3 pax: 50.00 cuc (per car), 4 to 6 pax: 100.00 cuc (per car), 7 to 9 pax: 150.00 cuc (per car).
TIPS: • Light clothing, water, light meals with sweets and proteins, sunglasses, caps or hats, hard tennis shoes, hiking boots or sandals, in addition to layers or other protection for the rainy season, sunscreen, insect repellent and camera.
• This tour operates without a minimum number of passengers. Holiadventure will reconfirm 48 hours before the departure of your tour. If the supplier decides to cancel, Holiadventure will offer you an alternative tour or fully refund the cost of your tour. • Level of complexity: Low.

Cancellation Policy
• In case of cancellation up to 72 hours before the departure time of the excursion, a penalty of 10% of the excursion fare will be charged. • Regarding cancellations made between 72 and 24 hours before the departure time of the excursion, a penalty of 50% of the excursion fare will be applied. • Cancellations reported within 24 hours before the departure time and No-Show (no presentation at departure time), a penalty of 100% of the excursion fare will be applied. • Booking fees and credit card surcharges cannot be refunded in case of cancellation.
