"CANASI SECTOR" Climbing tour

A spectacular new climbing area has been opened in Arcos de Canasi, just meters away from a beautiful natural beach surrounded by breathtaking nature.

Go for it! +Experience rock climbing alone or with your friends and add a new experience to your life! We give you the opportunity to enjoy sport rock climbing in a green area in the middle of the nature of Canasi, with more than 8 years of experience in sport climbing! The elevations of the climbing routes offered in the rocks of Canasi are optimal for people who are new to this world and have no climbing experience.

  • 2 sport rock climbing routes
  • Height: 14 meters
  • Suitable for young people from 14 years old and up: we have full chest harnesses so that young people can make their climbs. As a difference from the other modalities, the youngster will be assisted by two climbing instructors, one below holding the rope and the other on top of the rock, who will constantly be there to give indications to the youngster and encourage him/her to reach the finish line.
  • Approximate duration: 9.00 hrs.
  • Maximum number of people: 12.
  • Includes transportation service from a meeting point to Canasi, round trip.
  • Rock climbing, hiking, slackline, inflatables and water jumping.

Safety: Professional equipment. The experience includes all personal climbing equipment Certified by the UIAA (International Union of Mountaineering Associations).

Notes: In climbing the degrees of difficulty are denominated with numbers and letters 5a,5b,6c,7a.... up to level 9c (according to the French scale). The routes you will climb have a level from 5a to 5c. To climb a level 5a it is not necessary to be in top physical shape, you just have to trust yourself and not be afraid of falling because you will always be insured with equipment from the best climbing brands in the world (all certified by the UIAA - International Union of Mountaineering Associations). When you can not continue climbing you can let go without any fear, you will remain hanging in the same place so you will not suffer any blow because you will be climbing in the mode of "top rope ". This modality is ideal among the typologies and techniques of climbing, if you are a beginner in this world, it is the safest because the rope is tied to a belay that is on the ground, passes through a meeting point and then goes to the climber.

Mandatory rules:

  • Minors must be accompanied by a parent.
  • Alcoholic beverages are not allowed in the area.
  • The use of all protective equipment during the climb is mandatory.

Complementary services:

  • Professional photography service is optional for an additional charge.

TIPS: - You do NOT have to worry about wearing the proper footwear. The safety equipment is provided by the organizers, and includes: Climbing shoes (allows us, literally, to adhere to the rock. This is fundamental because, in spite of what beginners usually think, in this discipline it is more important to work with the legs than with the hands. These shoes fit the foot well and are designed to increase the performance of rock climbing) / Magnesium bag (tied to the waist and hangs from the back; inside it contains a substance that removes moisture from the hands and provides a better grip) / Harness and helmet (safety elements, the first unites the climber with the rope) / Carabiner and grigri, two essential devices as belayers. - NO gloves are used, so at least the first few times be prepared for hand chafing (they say that experienced climbers get calluses and are no longer hurt by the rock). - As part of the routine, before starting, there are some physical exercises to warm up and stretch the muscles guided by the organizers.
