“Horseback Riding La Pastora – Sugar Mills Valley – Javira Waterfall” Tour
The Valley of the Sugar Mills was named a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1998 because of its links to the slave trade generated by the sugar farms in the area during that period. This place is a living museum of the ancient sugar trade of the 18th and 19th centuries and gave birth to the great palaces that we enjoy today as we walk through its streets giving rise to the emergence of the Trinitarian Aristocracy.
La Pastora, located on the banks of the Guaurabo River, at the entrance to the city of Trinidad, covers an area of 2 km long oriented from south to north. In this area you can find "El Cubano" Park, "Los Almendros" Ranchon and the "Cimarrones de Javira" trail.
Salto de Javira, located in the Natural Park "El Cubano", in the mountains of Guamuaya, an incredible place to admire the Cuban nature, to observe exotic animals, plants and to take a refreshing bath in the waterfall of Javira.
Description
Visit enjoying the flora and fauna of the Great Valley of the Sugar Mills. The tour includes a visit to Hacienda La Pastora, Hacienda El Abanico, Hacienda Las Mercedes and a swim in the Javira waterfall. You can taste the juice of the sugar cane. Also within the tour there is an optional lunch with typical Cuban food, drinks (soft drinks, beers), a free welcome cocktail.
Approximate duration of the tour (total): 4 - 4.30 hours approximately, considering the stops.
Starting time of the excursion: Between 08:30 hrs until 09:00 hrs depending on the season of the year.

TIPS: • Light clothing, trousers, swimwear, sunglasses, water and light meals with sweet and protein, hats or caps, hard tennis or hiking boots and sandals to cross the river, other protective layers for seasons rain, solar protection and photographic camera.

Cancellation Policy • In case of cancellation up to 72 hours before the departure time of the excursion, a penalty of 10% of the excursion fare will be charged. • Regarding cancellations made between 72 and 24 hours before the departure time of the excursion, a penalty of 50% of the excursion fare will be applied. • Cancellations reported within 24 hours before the departure time and No-Show (no presentation at departure time), a penalty of 100% of the excursion fare will be applied. • Booking fees and credit card surcharges cannot be refunded in case of cancellation.
