"Cuban Cooking Lesson" Tour
This tour is designed for people interested in learning more about Cuban culinary history. We propose a masterful presentation on the subject and the preparation and tasting of a cocktail and various classic dishes of Cuban cuisine. The interaction between bartender, cook and client in the elaboration of their favorite cocktail and dishes allows to live a unique experience to those who arrive eager to taste the so called cocktails as the Mojito, and the typical dishes of Ropa Vieja and Arroz Congris.
Description:
Cocktail: Elaboration of the famous Cuban Mojito, presentation of the drink and its origin by our bartender. The assistants will follow the process and make their own cocktail (Duration 15 minutes)
Entrante: Tostones Rellenos, presentation of the dish by our chef participants must peel and cut up the bananas, shape the tostón, cut the cheese and fill it with ham. (Duration of 15 minutes)
Main Dish: Ropa vieja (old clothes) and arroz congrís (rice with vegetables), exquisite dishes of the Cuban cuisine, the first one based on shredded meat in sauce, and the second one made with beans and rice, a real delight, the participants will collaborate cutting onion and pepper a la Juliana, peeling garlic, shredding the already cooked beef. They will follow the process together with our cook. (Duration 1 hour)
Clients will have lunch or dinner with the dishes that have been prepared.
The house will add vegetable salad to the Ropa vieja and congris rice.
After lunch or dinner, the house offers a homemade dessert,1 national drink and coffee.

Bartender: Pavel Lázaro Fernández Calvo. Vice-president of the Association of Cuban Canteeners (Province - Havana since 2011). Jury member of the Canada-Cuba Canteen Meeting. Representative of Havana Club International, bar tender-professor in the Master Class Havana Club International in different countries (Croatia-Hungary-Non-Pray-Denmark-2014) (China-South Korea-2015).
TIPS: • Light clothing, sunglasses, hats or caps, tennis, sandals or comfortable shoes, water bottle and photographic camera.
• This tour operates with a minimum of 2 passengers. Holiadventure will reconfirm 48 hours before the departure of your tour. If the provider decides to cancel, for not meeting the minimum required amount of passengers, Holiadventure will offer an alternative tour or fully refund cost of your trip.

• The presentation including lunch or dinner is approximately 2:30 minutes.

• The participating cooks have been members of the Cuban Culinary’s Association for over ten years.
• The participating bartenders have been members of the Cuban Bartenders’ Association for over ten years.
• The cocktails are prepared using three-year aged Havana Club Rum.
• Other cocktails and dishes of interest to the client can be included.
• Drinks consumed outside the menu will be paid separately.
Cancellation Policy • In case of cancellation up to 72 hours before the departure time of the excursion, a penalty of 10% of the excursion fare will be charged. • Regarding cancellations made between 72 and 24 hours before the departure time of the excursion, a penalty of 50% of the excursion fare will be applied. • Cancellations reported within 24 hours before the departure time and No-Show (no presentation at departure time), a penalty of 100% of the excursion fare will be applied. • Booking fees and credit card surcharges cannot be refunded in case of cancellation.
