“Trinidad in my Heart” Tour
We invite you to get to know one of the most impressive cities in central-southern Cuba. The Colonial City of Trinidad, full of historical, cultural and patrimonial values, will be able to discover times, customs and traditions of the old Villa. It was one of the first Villas founded and declared by the UNESCO Cultural Patrimony of the Humanity.
Description
- We begin the tour with an explanation from our guide about the itinerary to follow.
- The first visit is to the Museum of History, Cantero Palace, which is located in the Plaza Mayor, the second most preserved in Cuba, this place treasures a variety of works of art and objects of high value. It has a tower inside where you can enjoy a panoramic view of the square.
- Visit to the Municipal Art Gallery where the client will be able to observe a great selection of contemporary art by local artists.
- Visit to the Museum of Colonial Architecture, where the client will be able to observe a scale exhibition of the different elements that compose the Colonial houses of Trinidad.
- Visit to the Major Catholic Parish Church, La Santísima Trinidad, which preserves the Cristo de La vera Cruz, protector of the city.
- Visit to the Romantic Museum, former Palace of Count Brunet, which treasures an invaluable collection of art from the early nineteenth century.
- Visit to the Museum of the Fight Against Bandits, former Convent of San Francisco de Asís, which has the highest tower of the city where you can see wonderful views of the city.
- Visit to the Plaza el Jigüe, place where the Villa de La Santísima Trinidad was founded and the first Catholic Mass was celebrated.
- Visit to La Taberna La Canchánchara, where the client will be able to enjoy the typical drink of the city. (Optional not included in the tour price) or a sugar cane juice.
- Tour around the music house and the house of the Trova.
- Visit to Santa Ana Square, there you can find the ruins of Santa Ana Church as well as the old Prison of the same name.
- Visit to the Tobacco Factory where you will be able to appreciate the making of tobacco.
- Visit to the old Cuartel del Dragón, today an art school where the steam locomotives from 1552 are located.
- Return to Céspedes Park.
- End of the excursion.
Pick up place of the client: At the address of the hostel where you are staying or at the reference place (municipal library, located in Martí Street, in front of the bank and place for cash withdrawal at a very popular ATM). The French and English speaking guide will take you on a tour of places of historical and cultural interest such as museums and churches, music houses, visit the steam train, the tobacco factory and the Taberna la Canchanchara.
Important note: The entrance to the museums has an additional value of 1.00 cuc per customer for each museum not included in the price of the tour.
TIPS: • Light clothing, sunglasses, water and light meals with sweet and protein, hats or caps, hard tennis or hiking boots and sandals, other protective for seasons rain, solar protection and photographic camera.
• The collected may be delayed up to 15 minutes depending on the number of hotels and punctuality of customers. Customer should be informed on sales desk to avoid disagreements.
• This tour operates without a minimum number of passengers. Holiadventure will reconfirm 48 hours before the departure of your tour. If the supplier decides to cancel, Holiadventure will offer you an alternative tour or fully refund the cost of your tour.
• Level of complexity: Low.
• No need to present identification (passport or tourist card) for the tour, thus avoiding losses or damage thereto.
Cancellation Policy
• In case of cancellation up to 72 hours before the departure time of the excursion, a penalty of 10% of the excursion fare will be charged. • Regarding cancellations made between 72 and 24 hours before the departure time of the excursion, a penalty of 50% of the excursion fare will be applied. • Cancellations reported within 24 hours before the departure time and No-Show (no presentation at departure time), a penalty of 100% of the excursion fare will be applied. • Booking fees and credit card surcharges cannot be refunded in case of cancellation.
