"ELQUI VALLEY, HOME OF GABRIELA MISTRAL" TOUR
The Elqui Valley, located in the region of Coquimbo, is one of the places that most attracts the attention of the country because of its natural beauty. Thanks to the climatic conditions, the best piscos are produced here and it is the ideal scenario for astronomical research. It is also the birthplace of one of the greatest poets of Latin America: Gabriela Mistral.
Details of her trip:
- Departure from La Serena, towards the Elqui Valley where we will visit picturesque villages in the area.
- We will learn about the process of elaboration of pisco, an alcoholic beverage of the brandis family, produced by distilling wine from certain grapes in the Chilean regions of Atacama and Coquimbo. It is a product with a denomination of origin, legally established in Chile and recognized in other countries.
- We will know part of the life and work of Gabriela Mistral.
- Enjoy her exquisite Vicuña cuisine by having lunch at a local restaurant.
- We will also get to know the derivatives of copao and papaya
