The Valle de los Ingenios is the place par excellence of the old sugar trade of the 18th and 19th centuries. This region of the country had some 50 sugar mills in operation, producing 140,000 arrobas of sugar cane. The Valley of the Sugar Mills was named a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1998 because of its links to the slave trade that was generated by the sugar farms in the area during that period.
Sancti Spíritus is one of the seven original cities established by Diego Velázquez during the Spanish conquest of Cuba in 1514. Sancti Spíritus has one of the most beautiful representative sets of colonial architecture in the country, as well as 2 national monuments (the Main Parish Church and the Yayabo Bridge). Its historical center was declared National Monument on October 10, 1978 and is the pride and main meeting point of the people of the city.

- Pick-up can be delayed by up to 15 minutes depending on the number of hotels and the punctuality of the clients. The customer should inquire at the sales desk to avoid any discrepancies.
- You need to carry identification documents (passport or tourist card) for the tour, in case it is necessary to present it to a local authority that requires it.
- Your driver will also provide escort service throughout the trip.

Cancellation Policy - If it is cancelled up to 72 hours before the tour is due to take place, a penalty of 10% of the tour price will be applied. - For cancellations made between 72 and 24 hours before the excursion departure time, a penalty of 50% of the excursion price will be applied. - Please note that cancellation within 24 hours and up to the time the excursion is enjoyed, and in case of no-show, 100% of the excursion price will be deducted. - Note: no refunds of administrative costs or credit card charges can be made in case of cancellation.
