“WATCHING THE STARS” TOUR
This tour will allow you, without having any previous knowledge, to look and understand the complexity of the night sky, from one of the best places on Earth to see the sky, the Atacama Desert. In addition, you will be able to see our universe and take snapshots through powerful telescopes located in the largest tourist observation center in South America.
Details of your trip
- Departure from San Pedro de Atacama, towards the astronomical center.
- First part of the Tour: Observation of the sky with the naked eye, they will explain us what the constellations are, they will show us the main stars and be able to understand the map of the sky, this will be done by the specialists with the help of a green laser pointer that indicates us with precision the celestial bodies that are referred to, this step is necessary to pass to the second stage of the Tour.
- Second step: Observation through the telescopes Live the experience of directly seeing the moon, Saturn and other celestial bodies through a telescope for the first time. The possibility of taking pictures through the telescopes is offered, both with digital cameras and reflex cameras (adapters are available for Nikon, Canon, Minolta and Pentax).
- The tour culminates around a hot drink before returning.
