La Paz City Tour
The city of La Paz, stands out for being an important cultural center at a Latin American level due to its colonial legacy and its indigenous presence. It is also home to several important monuments and sites such as the Metropolitan Cathedral, Plaza Murillo and Calle Jaén, among others. Nuestra Señora de La Paz, as it is officially known since 1548, is the third most populated city in Bolivia, surrounded by high mountains among which the imposing snow-capped Illimani stands out, whose silhouette has been the most important emblem of the city since its foundation. Its rugged topography offers unique views of the city and the Cordillera Real from several natural viewpoints.
Itinerary
After picking up our clients at their hotels, we begin our tour by traveling to the Valley of the Moon, located south of the city and known for its lunar-like landscape. During the trip we observe the residential area. Our tour in the Valley will start with a 30 minute walk. Then we head to the Miraflores area where we visit the archaeological site and the Hernando Siles Olympic Stadium. To continue the tour we will go to the Killi Killi viewpoint, from where we can observe the spectacular landscape of the city and the majestic snow-capped Illimani, whose silhouette has been the most important emblem of the city since its foundation. Then we go to the Old Town of the city appreciating the "Pedro Domingo Murillo" Square where you can find the Government Palace, the Legislative Palace and the Metropolitan Cathedral, among other places of interest. Later we visit the most important museums that are in Jaén Street and finally we go to the Witches' Market and the handicraft market where this majestic tour ends.
