Jeep Safari "NATURE TOUR LOMA DE CUNAGUA"
The Loma de Cunagua is the main elevation of the province of Ciego de Avila, also known as the Sierra de Judas de La Cunagua, site of important archaeological discoveries and converted into an ecological reserve since 1985, with an area of 2,742 hectares. It has an elevation of 338 meters above sea level, extends in the form of an oval chain, occupying an area of 24 square kilometers. It is a protected natural area. The ecological characteristics of the zone condition the existence of a Fauna with high endemism, which makes of the place a natural laboratory of relevance, to count with representativeness of reptiles and birds, among these the Tocororo, the Cartacuba and the Green Woodpecker and the Jabao Woodpecker. The Loma de Cunagua is located about 18 km east of Morón, in the province of Ciego de Avila, Cuba. You will be able to see it as you pass along the road to Bolivia, since it rises like a gigantic mountain in the shape of a termite mound that stands out in the plain. The Loma de Cunagua is an ideal natural site for lovers of hiking and ornithology. The area is perfect to enjoy the adventure in camitas for the great diversity of species that you can discover on your way through this unique natural landscape. Another of the activities you will have at your disposal is horseback riding, a perfect sport with which you can take advantage of touring the place and enjoy nature.

Nature and adventure jeep tour through the Great Wetland and mountainous areas with great biodiversity of both flora and fauna, with excellent scenic views located in the great wetland of northern Ciego de Avila, visiting different natural sites, population settlements, cultivated areas, and important elements of biodiversity and landscapes in the Protected Areas, as well as a peasant farm and a crocodile breeding farm in the city of Morón. Visit to La Redonda Lagoon, an adventure of aquatic nature in boats through the wonderful ecosystem of mangroves that make up the "Laguna La Redonda". During the tour you will contemplate natural attractions with a high degree of conservation; lunch at the place.
Program:
- Pick up by jeep at the Hotel.
- Transfer from the keys to the mainland by a viaduct over the Bay of Dogs.
- Travel by rural roads, through the Great Northern Wetland C.A.
- Ascent by mountain road to the Loma de Cunagua with visit to the installation with viewpoint to observe the Great Wetland.
- Visit to the crocodile zoo.
- Visit to a peasant farm ¨La María¨ in the city of Morón.
- Nautical tour of the Laguna La Redonda Wildlife Refuge.
- Lunch at Laguna La Redonda Restaurant.
- Stop at La Silla at the entrance of Cayo Coco to rest.
- Return to the hotel.
TIPS: • Recommended: light clothing, sunglasses, hats or caps, tennis, sandals or comfortable shoes and photographic camera. • For the tour we recommend a water bottle.

If the supplier decides to cancel, because the minimum number of passengers is not reached, Holiplus will offer you an alternative excursion or fully reimburse the cost of your excursion.

- Whoever wishes to drive must have a driving license.

Cancellation and no show policy:
- Cancellations more than 72 hours before the excursion: No penalty applies.
- Cancellations between 72 hours and 48 hours before the excursion: a penalty of 25% of the total value of the excursion applies.
- Cancellations less than 48 hours before the excursion: a penalty of 50% of the total value of the excursion applies.
- NO-SHOW: a penalty of 100% of the total value of the excursion applies.
- Booking fees and credit card surcharges cannot be refunded in case of cancellation.
