The municipality of Morón, founded in 1643, is known as the "Ciudad del Gallo" (City of the Rooster) because of a verse about this animal that continued to sing after being plucked. It is located in the north of Ciego de Avila province, under leafy vegetation and beautiful beaches and, despite its somewhat remote location, is an important transportation hub. In addition in his cayería is nailed one of the most important tourist poles of the country. At the entrance of the city is its symbol, a bronze monument of the Rooster of Morón, made by the artist Rita Longa in 1982.
Itinerary
