Jeep “Overnight Matanzas”
Matanzas is Cuba's quintessential neoclassical city. The relationship between its remarkable monuments and its grandiose natural scenery is unique and relevant. Visit several corners of this magical Cuban province.
Planned itinerary
First Day Havana - Matanzas
- Pick up the clients and departure for Matanzas.
- Arrival in the town of Santa Cruz del Norte, panoramic tour of the historical center of the town, with explanation of its social and economic development, you will see the old rum distillery and the rum factory "Havana Club".
- Tour to the "Camilo Cienfuegos" plant, formerly the "Hershey" plant, brief stop at the train station to explain the project, its history and operation and a panoramic tour of the Hershey batey.
- Trip to the town of Jaruco, visit to the cathedral and local museum. (Open from Tuesday to Friday from 8:00 am to 12:00 pm).
- Brief stop at the Hershey Gardens and free time to rest.
- Arrival to Matanzas
- Lunch at "Café Caribe" where you can enjoy a beautiful view of the Bay of Matanzas.
- In the afternoon tour of the city with visit to its main places of interest, the Hermitage of Monserrate, the park "La Libertad", the French pharmacy "Triolet", the park "La Vigia" and the Sauto Theater.
- Accommodation and dinner at the Velasco Hotel.
Second day : Matanzas- Varadero
- Breakfast at the hotel.
- Visit to the protected area "Río Canímar" and ride in speedboats along the river's causes.
- Snorkeling in Punta Maya and you will be able to visit and swim in the fresh waters of a natural pool in the Cave of Saturn.
- Lunch at the farm "La Dionisia" and tour through the ruins of an old French coffee plantation, free time to ride horses.
- Rural tour by paths and trails to Varadero.
- End of the program
TIPS: - Light clothing, swimwear, sunglasses, hats or caps, tennis shoes, sandals or comfortable shoes, sunscreen and camera - For the tour we recommend a bottle of water.
- The maximum number of people for the tour: 4 Pax.
- The price includes pick-up in Havana and drop-off in Varadero. and tours in jeeps with driver-guide, detailed visits, walks, lunches and dinners.
- The pick up can be delayed up to 15 minutes depending on the number of hotels and the punctuality of the clients. The client must be informed at the sales desk to avoid disagreements.
- The supplement for use of single rooms is 20.00 USD x pax x night.
- The Jeep must be shared with other tourists (4 pax / jeep).
- Those who wish to drive must bring their driver's license.
