Of the many natural attractions that we have in Cuba, the Cienaga de Zapata, in the province of Matanzas, is one of the most significant, which is why we have prepared this adventure in Jeep for this wonderful place ideal for nature lovers.

Planned itinerary

Day one: Varadero - Playa Larga

• Collection of clients from hotel in Varadero.
• Departure to the Zapata Peninsula.
• Arrival at the Hato de Jicaritas dock, where you will be able to navigate in motor boats through the extensive waters of the Hatiguanico River, the most important river in the region. After a tour of about 14 kilometers where you can visit the source of the river and take a refreshing bath in its crystalline springs.
• Lunch at a farm in the area "El Guajiro".
• We continue our journey to the heart of the peninsula where you can visit a farm for the reproduction of parrots, a native bird of the country and also visit a crocodile farm.
• Accommodation and dinner in a private hostel in Playa Larga.
• Free night at your disposal.

Second day: Zapata Peninsula

• Breakfast in the morning.
• Walk along the "Salinas de Brito" trail, a beautiful place to observe migratory and native birds.
• Visit to Cueva de los Peces with a swim in its refreshing waters; lunch and snorkeling in Caleta Buena (Bay of Pigs).
• Return to Varadero.
• End of the program.
