"Jacksonville a Stop in Time"
At the beginning of the century, caiman immigrants arrived in the area of Simeon and Punta de Cocodrilo, where they settled and formed the first houses in the style of their country, maintaining tradition, among them the Jackson family. During this period, their livelihood was only hunting and fishing, where years later they had contact with the inhabitants of the Isle of Pines, today you can see in the community houses with the same structure of that time, inhabited by descendants and their families, preserving the same traditions of that time.
Program:
- Departure by bus from Nueva Gerona.
- Arrival at the Control Point.
- Arrival at the Lighthouse of Carapachibey.
- Visit to the community of Jacksonville, brief explanation about the different activities that are carried out in the community.
- Tour of the community from the school to the beach of Pucho.
- Country lunch in the town.
- Return to Nueva Gerona.
