Jeep Safari "TOBACCO ROUTE"

Route designed to discover the creation process of the famous Habano, considered the best in the world thanks to its aroma and authenticity. The Tobacco Route will take you to many places of interest, including cigar farms, factories, information points and many other places.

Itinerary

  • Pick up by jeep at the client's accommodation.
  • Exclusive possibility to be driven and accompanied by a specialized guide during the trip.
  • During the trip from Havana to Pinar del Rio, a city considered one of the main tobacco producers in Cuba, you will receive information on the origin and emergence of tobacco, as well as the agricultural process of cultivation, planting, harvesting, curing and manufactured production of tobacco.
  • Visit to a typical tobacco plantation where you will appreciate how tobacco is sown, and you will receive an explanation of the cultivation process, favoring a popular encounter with the producers.
  • Visit to a selected tobacco factory where you will be able to appreciate and exchange information about the whole process that is carried out from the moja, despalillo of the leaf and packing; activity that propitiates an atmosphere of healthy exchange, recreation and knowledge about the Cuban tobacco.
  • Visit to a tobacco factory in the province of Pinar del Rio, an incomparable opportunity to see how the tobacco is given its final finish and to exchange with tobacco twisters.
  • Typical Creole lunch in a local restaurant with a liquid included.
  • Return to the client's lodging.

TIPS: • Recommended: light clothing, sunglasses, hats or caps, tennis, sandals or comfortable shoes and photographic camera. • For the tour we recommend a water bottle.

  • Pick-ups may be delayed up to 15 minutes depending on the number of hotels and the punctuality of customers. The client should inquire at the sales desk to avoid any inconveniences.
  • This tour operates with a minimum number of passengers. Holiplus will reconfirm 48 hours before the departure of the excursion. If the supplier decides to cancel, because the minimum number of passengers is not reached, Holiplus will offer you an alternative excursion or fully reimburse the cost of your excursion.
  • The jeep is shared with other tourists (up to 4 pax/jeep).
  • Whoever wishes to drive must have a driving license.
  • The jeeps have mechanical transmission.

Cancellation and no show policy:

  • Cancellations more than 72 hours before the excursion: No penalty applies.
  • Cancellations between 72 hours and 48 hours before the excursion: a penalty of 25% of the total value of the excursion applies.
  • Cancellations less than 48 hours before the excursion: a penalty of 50% of the total value of the excursion applies.
  • NO-SHOW: a penalty of 100% of the total value of the excursion applies.
