Program Details
The Foto al Vuelo 2019 event will take place in the Ciénaga de Zapata Biosphere Reserve.
Can participate those who officially register and pay their participation fee in the workshop-photo contest, regardless of nationality and country of origin. The photographs to compete must be taken during the days of the contest “Foto al Vuelo” 2019. Photographs of animals in captivity or zoos, or taken outside the Ciénaga de Zapata will not be accepted.
Each contestant will select up to 5 photographs according to the different categories, regardless of the amount they have taken. The photographs to compete must be in JPG format and with a resolution quality of 300 dpi.
It will compete in 3 general categories:
• Best photograph that alludes to the name of the contest. (Photo of bird in flight) • Best picture of an endemic bird. • Better photograph of a bird in its habitat.
Photomontages and manipulated images are excluded. Minimal corrections of color, definition, contrast, etc. will be accepted.
The photos that are awarded or receive mention will be displayed with their respective credits on the website of Cubanacan, on the website of Tropikvedeta and the Travel Agency ECOTUR S.A.
By participating in the photo contest, the right to Travel Agency ECOTUR S.A and the Cubanacán Group to use the photographs for promotional purposes of destination Cuba is automatically granted. The copyrights of the photographers participating in the contest are respected, being able these to make use of the images.
A jury made up of national and international photographers, of recognized trajectory, will value both the content and the artistic and technical quality of the images presented. The decision of the jury will be final and unappealable.
A Grand Prize will be awarded and 1 winner will be selected for each category. 2nd and 3rd places will be awarded, as well as mentions to the photographs that the jury estimates. For the Grand Prize, the Cubanacan Hotels Group will grant you 3 nights with 4 days in an All Inclusive Hotel with a companion.
Description (Program)
February 18 - Havana / Girón Beach.
08.30 hrs-Transfer Hotel Comodoro to Playa Girón. 11.30 hrs-Arrival at Playa Girón. Welcome reception and cocktail at Hotel Playa Girón. 12.30 hrs-Lunch 16.00 hrs-Accreditation. Technical Council with the contestants of the Event. 19.00 hrs-Dinner and opening activity.
19,20 and February 21-Playa Girón.
06.30 hrs-Departure to the trails. Includes 2 trails (one in the morning and one in the afternoon) 12.30 hrs-Lunch at local restaurants. Return to the hotel. Some of the trails to be covered will be: Soplillar, Las Salinas, the Hondones Community, Enigma de las Rocas, Las Bermejas, La Turba, St Thomas.
February 22 Playa Girón.
Day for the corcunsantes to make the section of photographs with which they will compete in each modality. 12.00 hrs-Lunch 13.00 hrs-Beginning of the work of the Jury. Free afternoon to enjoy the different recreational activities in the area. At night closing activity, awards ceremony and traditional Cuban dinner with show.
February 23-Playa Girón / Havana.
Breakfast. Check out 10.00 hrs-Departure for Havana.
TIPS: • Light clothing, tennis, sandals or comfortable shoes and camera. • It is recommended to bring a bottle of water
• The supplement for accommodation in a single room is 80.00 USD
• For cancellations made 7 days or less before the realization of the service, the total price penalty applies. This right will also apply to "No Shows". For cancellations with more than 8 days, the full refund will be applied to the customer, but the financial expenses associated with this return will be deducted from it, generally corresponding to 4.5% of the total value.
