Varadero beach, an important tourist destination, is located in the north of the province of Matanzas, in the Hicacos peninsula, in the tourist region of Varadero and in the Matanzas-Cárdenas-Varadero sub-region. The current landscapes of the Hicacos Peninsula are characterized by a rich diversity.
