"Knowing Jagua Castle Tour"
We invite you to visit one of the most beautiful cities in south-central Cuba Cienfuegos, known in Cuba as the Pearl of the South, founded in 1819 by the French around the Bay of Jagua. We invite you to tour this city of parks, theater, churches and an architecture and culture that will capture you from the first moment.
During the tour we will visit one of the most interesting heritage sites in Cienfuegos: the Jagua Castle or "Nuestra Señora de los Angeles de Jagua" Castle, the oldest fortress in the central region of the island, which was intended to serve as a defense of the city, and most probably of the entire southern coast of the island helped by the Castle of San Pedro de la Roca in Santiago de Cuba. It was declared a National Monument in 1978.
Places to visit in the tour:
You will travel by car along the coast of Cienfuegos, passing by Rancho Luna beach, visiting the community of El Perche, where visitors can get in touch with a fishing community and appreciate their daily life. Later, the bay will be crossed by ferry to the castle. Once there, you will learn about its construction and importance, its history, the legend of the Blue Lady as well as visit the weapons room, the chapel and the different collections that the place treasures.

Important note: Entrance fees to museums, other places of interest and tourist attractions, restaurants (meals), bars (drinks) and tips, among others, not described in the program are not included in the tour price and require an additional charge for the clients' decision.
Duration of the tour: 3 hours (the tour can be adapted to the time available to the clients).

TIPS: • Light clothing, sunglasses, light meals with sweets and proteins, caps or hats, comfortable shoes, as well as other protectors for rainy seasons, sunscreen and camera.
Cancellation Policy • In case of cancellation up to 72 hours before the departure time of the excursion, a penalty of 10% of the excursion fare will be charged. • Regarding cancellations made between 72 and 24 hours before the departure time of the excursion, a penalty of 50% of the excursion fare will be applied. • Cancellations reported within 24 hours before the departure time and No-Show (no presentation at departure time), a penalty of 100% of the excursion fare will be applied. • Booking fees and credit card surcharges cannot be refunded in case of cancellation.
