The Zapata Swamp and Girón Beach: a perfect combination between History and Nature
Ciénaga de Zapata National Park, is a site located in the Peninsula de Zapata, of virgin nature and exuberant tropical vegetation, declared a Biosphere Reserve by UNESCO. The Ciénaga de Zapata attracts lovers of flora and fauna and adventure seekers. Among its main attractions we have: La Laguna del Tesoro, La Aldea Taina, the crocodile farm and Playa Larga.
Playa Girón, is a small beach that went down in history in 1961, when it was chosen as one of the landing points for the mercenary invasion of the Bay of Pigs. Today it possesses a museum dedicated to the battle fought by the people of Cuba against mercenary troops of Cuban origin.
Places to visit in the tour:
We will leave in car towards the Swamp of Zapata, for it we will fix as point of Benny Moré's statue to the entry of the Boulevard of Cienfuegos, or in the place of your preference. We will visit the Crocodile Farm of Guamá, where the visitor will be able to know the characteristics of the biggest population of crocodiles of the Caribbean. Then we will visit Playa Larga, where you can enjoy one of the most beautiful beaches in southern Cuba. We will visit the Cueva de los Peces, a lagoon that is a natural pool of crystalline waters where colorful tropical fish abound and is an excellent place for diving and snorkeling. We conclude in the Museum of Playa Giron where we can learn all the details of the American invasion by Bay of Pigs, which was the first defeat of the United States in Latin America and then you can relax in the calm waters and white sands of Playa Giron.

Important note: Entrances to museums, other places of interest and tourist attractions, restaurants (meals), bars (drinks) and tips, among others, not described in the program are not included in the price of the tour and require an additional charge for the clients' decision.

TIPS: Light clothes, sunglasses, light meals with sweets and proteins, caps or hats, comfortable shoes, bring beach clothes, snorkeling equipment, as well as other protectors for rainy seasons, sun protection and photographic camera.
Cancellation Policy • In case of cancellation up to 72 hours before the departure time of the excursion, a penalty of 10% of the excursion fare will be charged. • Regarding cancellations made between 72 and 24 hours before the departure time of the excursion, a penalty of 50% of the excursion fare will be applied. • Cancellations reported within 24 hours before the departure time and No-Show (no presentation at departure time), a penalty of 100% of the excursion fare will be applied. • Booking fees and credit card surcharges cannot be refunded in case of cancellation.
