Program Details

City tour + Valle Sagrado tour.

Day 1 If we talk about Peru it is clear that we have to talk about Cusco, an Inca and colonial city in equal parts. At first sight, walking through the heart of the city you will see a beautiful city of colonial architecture. But if you look closely, you will discover that the buildings have been erected over the ancient Inca city. The majority of the constructions conserve the old walls in the lower part of their structures, with their great stones of different forms, like those that conform the fortress of Saqsaywaman, the biggest of the conserved Inca constructions.

Itinerary

This tour starts at 13.30 hrs, with the collection of customers in their respective hotels and then visit the main tourist attractions of the city as they are: The Cathedral, the main temple of the city of Cusco. In Peru, the Cathedral of Cusco unites the temples of the Triunfo and the Sagrada Familia, forming the Cathedral Complex. It was the Palace of the Inca Wiracocha. Qorikancha: Religious center known as the "Temple of the Sol¨ highlights the impressive engineering used in its construction. Sacsayhuaman, located 3km from the city of Cusco, impressive fortress of monumental stones and excellent architecture. Qenqo: Ceremonial and ritual center, amphitheater where sacrifices were performed. PucaPucara, ancient dairy farm, guard post along the Inca roads. Tambomachay, 7km from the city of Cusco, ceremonial center of the water cult traditionally known as the place of the waters. We will finish approximately at 4.30pm.

Day 2 If Cusco is the gateway to Machu Picchu, the Sacred Valley would be like the road to get there. Villages like Ollantaytambo or Pisac preserve many ruins full of history. It is highly recommended to visit both Cusco and the Sacred Valley before arriving at Machu Picchu.

Itinerary

At 8.30 am we will pick you up at the hotel and we will go to the town of Pisaq in Cusco, then we will ascend to the Archaeological Complex of Pisac, in this enclosure we will be able to appreciate the superimposed terraces, you will find ceremonial baths, a residential settlement, and the biggest known Inca cemetery, the oldest in South America. Down the mountain we will see the temple complex, exquisitely carved in pink granite; here you will find ceremonial altars, water wells, and the beautiful temple of the sun. Continuing the excursion we will go to the town of Urubamba where you will be able to taste a buffet lunch in a typical restaurant very cosy (IN THE BUFFET IT IS NOT INCLUDED THE COLD DRINKS, WATER, SOFT DRINKS, JUICES) After lunch we will arrive at the town of Ollantaytambo, where we will visit the Archaeological Complex of Ollantaytambo. This archaeological site was a military, religious and agricultural center. This fabulous architectural setting is extremely interesting, because of the size, originality and details of its structures. The tour will take approximately 10 hours.
