Raquel Hotel is located in the vicinity of Plaza Vieja and the Plaza de San Francisco de Assisi in the historic center of Old Havana. Although their immediate environment is not the most attractive due to bad condition of the buildings that surround it, the hotel is distinguished by elegance and good taste in the decoration of spaces that allude and represent Jewish culture and tradition. Hence, each of them has a biblical name, ie, the rooms on the first floor are known as Abraham, Isaac, Jabbok, Samuel, Joseph, Benjamin, Reuben, Jeremiah, Elijah, Nehemiah and David; the second floor correspond to Esther, Rebecca, Sarah, Leah, Ruth, Miriam, Tamar, Zipporah, Elizabeth, Hanna and Solomon; and on the third floor are identified as Galilee, Sinai and Jordan. Other areas of the hotel also receive similar names, such as boutique-gallery Bezalel, the Lejaim Lobby Bar and its excellent restaurant serving traditional Jewish food, the Garden of Eden. This restaurant offers dishes such as borscht and latkes. The terrace on the roof is an ideal place to spend a pleasant time enjoying a nice drink and the view of a typical Cuban setting. Excellence in the services can also be check at the gym located on the ground floor, where you can exercise, use their modern equipment or request massages.
